Sea Kayaking in Muscongus Bay, Maine

What a great trip in Muscongus Bay today.  We paddled for a full day and had extremely calm conditions with lots of wildlife like seals, eagles and ospreys.  We launched at the top of the bay in the Hockamock Channel.  We paddled along the east side of Oar Island on our way to Crow Island for a stretch beak.  The fog lifted as soon as we started paddling and the day was beautiful.  We stopped for a lobster bake at Muscongus Bay Lobster Company and then paddled back to our take out.  As we approached Hog Island we could hear an eagle.  Sure enough, an immature eagle was on the shore line watching us paddle by.  What a sight!  We reached the end of our adventure at the Cora Cressy Shipwreck.

Come join Maine Kayak on our Muscongus Bay full day sea kayaking trip this summer.  We run the trip daily and provide everything you need.  We even take total beginners to advanced paddlers.  Come paddle with us!

  1. Learn all the kayaking basics with entry level kayaks for a smart start. Kayaking is one of the most popular outdoors activities in Australia. Enjoy your first trip with traditional Australian Kayaks.
